Safety

• Public — anyone on OutfitOK can find and answer it. Search-engine indexing is still off unless you switch it on, and only ever applies to public posts.
• Link only — it exists at a private, unguessable address. It is not in any feed, not on your profile, not in search, and cannot be reached by guessing.
• Private Circle — only the group of people you choose. A link alone is not enough; membership is checked every time.

You choose this before you publish, and the choice is shown on the decision itself so you can always tell what state it is in.

• Every image is re-encoded on our servers before it is stored. That removes EXIF metadata, including the GPS coordinates most phones attach.
• Images live in private storage. There is no public URL. When someone is allowed to see your decision, the server issues a short-lived signed link that expires.
• Change a post to Link only or delete it, and previously issued links stop resolving.
• You can permanently blur any part of a photo before publishing — a face, a badge, a house number. The blur is burned into the stored file. There is no unblurred original kept behind it.

What we have not built: automatic face detection. We are not going to claim a feature that does not work, so blurring is manual and deliberate. If we add automatic detection later, it will be described honestly as an assist, not a guarantee.

We never ask for your precise location and there is no way to attach one. Occasion and venue are broad categories, not addresses.

If your decision is about an event you are about to attend, you can hide the venue and timing entirely, and close voting before you arrive. Announcing where you will be and when is the part worth thinking twice about — not the outfit.

• Block — you and that account become invisible to each other. Follows are removed in both directions and neither of you can see the other's posts or comments.
• Mute — their posts leave your feed quietly. They are never told.
• Comments off — you can take votes without taking replies. The tally still works.
• Signed-in answers only — you can require an account to vote, at the cost of some reach.

OutfitOK deliberately has no direct messages. Private messaging is where photo-based communities accumulate harassment and grooming risk, and the product does not need it: the decision, the votes and the advice all happen in the open where they can be moderated.

Every post, comment and account can be reported. Reports land in a moderation queue that a person works through, and every action taken is written to an audit log with the moderator, the reason and the time.

If something of yours is removed, you can appeal it and a person reviews it again. Repeat offenders lose their accounts.

• You can delete any image or decision you have posted.
• You can delete your account, which removes your profile, posts, images and comments.
• We do not sell your images, your face, your private posts or a style profile of you. Any future trend reporting will be aggregated and disclosed.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We can remove content and accounts, but we are not an emergency service. For non-consensual imagery, impersonation or threats, report it and mark it as urgent in the details — those reports are triaged first.
