Community guidelines
OutfitOK exists to answer one question: does this outfit work? Everything below follows from that.

The one rule
We evaluate clothes, not bodies.
Someone posting here is asking whether a garment suits an occasion. They are not asking to be assessed as a person. If your comment would still make sense about the same outfit on a mannequin, it is probably fine. If it only makes sense because of whose body is in it, it does not belong here.
What good advice looks like
- "Too casual for a law firm interview — swap the knit for a plain shirt."
- "The proportions fight each other. Tuck the front or size down the trousers."
- "Gorgeous, but that heel on grass at an outdoor wedding will sink."
- "Option 2. The colour actually works with the venue lighting."
- "For a mosque visit you will want the shoulders and knees covered."
Specific, about the clothes, and useful to someone who has to get dressed in an hour.
What is not allowed
These are removed, and repeated instances cost you your account.
- Rating a person's attractiveness — numerically or otherwise. This is not that kind of site.
- Body shaming, or comments about someone's size, shape or weight.
- Unsolicited weight-loss, diet or cosmetic-surgery advice.
- Sexualised comments, sexual propositions, or fetish solicitation.
- Harassment, pile-ons, or following someone across the site to be unpleasant.
- Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or contempt for someone's religion or culture.
- Posting images of someone who did not agree to it.
- Impersonating another person, brand or creator.
- Sharing anyone's address, workplace, or where they will be right now.
- Asking the community to identify a stranger in a photo.
- Adult sexual content.
- Spam, and paid promotion that is not disclosed as such.
What is not automatically sexual
Swimwear, gymwear, form-fitting clothing, costumes and cosplay are all normal things to need advice about. A post asking whether a swimsuit works for a resort is a clothing decision, and we moderate it as one.
What changes that is conduct: how something is framed, how it is captioned, and how people respond to it. We moderate on context and behaviour, not on how much fabric is in the photo.
Posting about other people
Post photos you have the right to share. If someone else is in the frame, they need to have agreed. You can blur faces and details in the composer before publishing, and the blur is permanent — it is applied to the stored file, not layered over it.
Do not post someone else’s outfit for judgement without their knowledge, and never post a photo of a stranger.
Adults only, for now
Accounts are for people aged 18 and over. OutfitOK is a photo-based community and we are not willing to expose minors to it until there is a minor-safety programme designed specifically for them. If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, report it.
If something goes wrong
Report the post, the comment or the account. Reports go to a human moderation queue with a written record of every action taken. You can also block someone, which makes you invisible to each other, or mute them, which quietly removes them from your feed without telling them.
If we remove something of yours and you think we got it wrong, you can appeal it and a person will look again.
